Hello Laura, I am sorry to report that I have not made much headway in contacting Mark Copeland to secure a copy of his wonderful video from the Charleston reunion. I called a number of times and was only ever able to leave a message, and never received a reply. In Mark's defense I know he operates on an uncertain schedule. His wife had been very ill a couple years ago. I just hope it has not recurred. I am going to give you Mark's phone number: 952-469-2633. Hopefully if you or your father would call you may be more successful than I.
It would be wonderful if you could come to this years reunion in Colorado Springs with your father. We all wold love to meet you. Take care, Sue
My brother and I had a wonderful time on the SSMA trip with your father and he seemed to enjoy himself. In our holiday correspondence he asked if there were any reunions coming up and that he would like to go. We would love to have you also along with any other family members. We will be going to the Air Force Academy in September joining in with the 306th BG. My Dad was with the 306th and this group along with the 92ndBG led the second Schweinfurt raid. Just a couple more details to work out before I post it on the page.
Mark Copeland, former editor of the 8th AF News was the person who put the symposium together and had it taped. When we left Charleston Mark said I would receive a copy upon completion. In early November he emailed me and asked for addresses for all of the participants so he could mail to them a copy also. I have not received mine yet, so I wonder if Thanksgiving and Christmas got the best of his time. I will send an email and ask. Rest assured that you will receive as many copies as you need/want for your family.
You Father knows Mark well, who has the deepest respect for the General. I may also go to the 8th AF Reunion in October in Nashville. Not certain about the time on that one.

I will let you know what I hear from Mark.
Welcome Laura, I think I know your father!
