Hello!

I just joined as a member of the SSMA.  I was a friend of a Second Schweinfurt veteran who was also a member of the SSMA.  He sadly passed away last summer and the family was kind enough to pass on to me several issues of his SSMA's Briefing Letters.

I would like to acquire additional copies of the Briefing Letter to add to my library.  If anyone has or knows a source of copies that they would be willing to share, please contact Marin F. Ennis at my online address or by the snail mail route at 1405 Dogwood Drive West Lawn, PA 19609.

Thank you very much for any and all help in this regard!!!

  • Marin,

I am the current Secretary of the SSMA, but I'm afraid I am not the best at keeping all appropriate documentation. It also appears I just changed the numbering plan somewhere along the way without a good reason. I am hoping our Historian, Linda Harmison, has a copy of all the BLs. Anyway, I can send you copies of these BLs: 04-08 (which was actually the April, 2008th edition), the 07-05 ( which is the May 2007 edition and where I changed the numbering scheme), 07-08, 07-11, 08-08, 08-12, 09-08, 09-12 and 09-03. Only a couple of them have been converted to PDF so I will mail you a copy of all of them in paper format. The next BL should (as I just started it today) be going out next week and as a new member you should receive one in email.
  • Hi again Marin, The BL is published quarterly. If you could let me know what you are missing I'm sure we can make copies for you. We don't have a website - YET - but the BL's are surely one item that need to go there. I will double check to see how far back we have copies in our archives. What was the name of your friend who flew 10/14/43?
