Check out "Target for Today" on YouTube. Combat footage starts at around the 1hr mark. Most of the footage taken from another plane. There seems to be a mounted camera inside the turret set on the gunners face. There is also a very short clip on YouTube of the gunner lowering himself into the ball. I will keep looking..
